NSW ARB Partners on 2025 Sydney Open
The NSW Architects Registration Board is a Principal Partner for the 2025/26 Sydney Open program
The NSW Architects Registration Board (NSW ARB) is committed to increasing public awareness of the value of architects and architecture’s important role in responding to complex community needs with insight and care. As part of this commitment, the NSW ARB is proud to announce its Principal Partnership with Museums of History NSW (MHNSW) for the 2025/26 Sydney Open program.
Since it first began in 1997, Sydney Open has grown to become one of Sydney’s most outstanding platforms for engaging the public in conversations about the built environment, offering behind-the-scenes access to architecturally significant buildings.
This year’s program will be launched with the Sydney Open Symposium on Saturday 23 August 2025 at 1 Elizabeth Street, Martin Place. This new annual event invites audiences to explore architecture through the lens of precinct design, heritage, and civic imagination.
- A keynote session will explore the Martin Place Metro interchange and adjacent public infrastructure
- A panel will examine how cities are shaped by collaboration, innovation and community participation
- Guided tours will highlight the architectural and cultural significance of the precinct
The NSW ARB partnership with MHNSW in 2025/26 is supporting a program of activities that will increase public understanding of architecture and the built environment, in alignment with its statutory objectives.
