INFORMATION SHEET - LOCALLY EXPERIENCED PRACTITIONERS 

The LEP is a process wherein persons who have the approved academic qualification in architects from a university in Australia and who have been practising for more than seven years, having been involved in the design and construction of complex architectural projects, can bypass the Architectural Practice Examination (APE) and become registered through this process.

INFORMATION SHEET - NOMINATING A RESPONSIBLE ARCHITECT FOR A CORPORATION OR FIRM

Section 10 of the Act makes it an offence for a corporation or firm to represent itself to be an architect, and must not allow itself to be represented to be an architect, unless the corporation or firm has at least one nominated architect who is responsible for the provision of architectural services by the corporation or firm.  The ‘nominated architect’ is responsible for the oversight and delivery of architectural services on behalf of a corporation or firm. In order to perform this duty, the nominated architect should be involved in the running of the business, or be an employee of the corporation or firm.

In order to notify any changes to details for architect corporations and firms such new nominated architects or cancellation of nominated architects etc. complete this form and submit it with the applicable fee of $35.  A new certificate will be printed to show these changes

FORM 02A - MUTUAL RECOGNITON CONFIRMATION REQUEST

Take this form to the state registration board where you are currently registered for completion and send it back to the NSW Board with the Form 02 and payment.
