International study of prefabrication visiting the world leaders in prefabrication; not just in the construction industry but also in Aerospace, Automotive, Shipbuilding and manufacturing.

The study is based on the premise that the construction industry globally is struggling to modernise and keep pace with other industries while aerospace, automotive and shipbuilding which have made substantial progress in production efficiency and quality in the last 40 years.

The particular focus was on prefabricating customised or one-off buildings rather than on the repetitive mass production of buildings. Countries visited included; South Korea, Japan, China, Singapore, USA, UK, France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden.
