AGENCY INFORMATION GUIDE - PUBLIC ACCESS TO INFORMATION HELD BY THE NSW ARCHITECTS REGISTRATION BOARD

This Information Access Guide has been created under section 20 of the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (the ‘GIPA Act’) to facilitate public access to information held by the NSW Architects Registration Board.

The Short Form Architect Client Contract (SFACC) is a free online resource to assist architects to meet their obligations under the NSW Architects Code of Professional Conduct 2017. It comprises a covering letter, services schedule and standard terms of agreement.

GIPA DISCLOSURE LOG

This Disclosure Log is maintained under section 25 and 26 of the GIPA Act to record disclosures to the public of information held by the NSW Architects Registration Board.

NSW ARB POLICY - PRIVACY

The NSW Architects Registration Board is committed to ensuring that the handling of personal information is consistent with the twelve Information Protection Principles (IPPs) for government agencies as set out in the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998(PPIP Act).

NSW ARB POLICY - PRIVACY MANAGEMENT PLAN

This Privacy Management Plan explains how the NSW Architects Registration Board manages personal and health information in line with NSW privacy laws.

NSW ARB POLICY - PUBLIC INTEREST DISCLOSURES

This policy establishes an internal reporting system for employees to report wrongdoing without fear of reprisal. The policy sets out who wrongdoing can be reported to, what can be reported and how reports of wrongdoing will be dealt with by the NSW Architects Registration Board.

Register of Disciplinary Action

Section 55 of the Architects Act 2003 requires the Registrar to maintain a Register of Disciplinary Action that publishes decisions of the NSW Architects Registration Board where an architects is found guilty of unsatisfactory professional conduct or professional misconduct.

REPORT ON SYSTEMIC RISKS FOR THE ARCHITECTURE SECTOR IN AUSTRALIA

This report is the product of a research project undertaken jointly by the Architects Registration Board of Victoria (ARBV) and the NSW Architects Registration Board (NSW ARB). The primary purpose of the research was to identify current and future systemic compliance issues and associated risks affecting regulation of the architecture profession in Australia. It will assist the ARBV and NSW ARB to target proactive regulatory activity so that systemic risks can be mitigated by pre-empting and preventing regulatory non-compliance by architects and, in turn, avoid harming to clients and end-users of architectural services.
