2026 Byera Hadley Travelling Scholarship Now Open

The NSW Architects Registration Board is now accepting applications for the 2026 Byera Hadley Travelling Scholarship (BHTS).
Established through the bequest of Sydney architect and educator Byera Hadley (1872–1937), this prestigious program offers NSW architecture students and graduates a unique opportunity to expand their knowledge through travel-based research.
Since 1951, the BHTS has supported more than 275 recipients, awarding over $1 million in the past decade alone. The program aims to advance architectural practice, foster innovative research, and promote cultural exchange.
The BHTS is open to students and graduates of accredited architecture programs from NSW universities. Student scholarships provide up to $15,000, while graduate scholarships offer up to $30,000. All proposals must involve travel, either internationally or within Australia. Previous recipients may reapply after 5-years from successful completion of an earlier scholarship.
