NSW ARB Supports Return of Sydney Open Symposium

The NSW Architects Registration Board is proud to support the return of the Sydney Open Symposium through its Principal Partnership with the 2025/26 Sydney Open program.

Presented by Museums of History NSW, the 2026 Sydney Open Symposium, Home Truths, explores the past, present and future of housing across New South Wales through a program of talks, discussions and residential tours.

Held on 23–24 May 2026 at ILUMINA, the Symposium brings together architects, designers, researchers, writers and industry leaders to examine the ideas, innovations and experiences shaping the future of housing and the built environment.

Guest speakers include Byera Hadley Travelling Scholarship recipients Paulo Macchia and Michael Jones, alongside many other contributors from across the built environment sector.

Through its partnership with the Sydney Open program, the NSW Architects Registration Board supports initiatives that encourage public engagement with architecture and expand understanding of the built environment and the role architects play in shaping it.

Tickets for the Sydney Open Symposium and house tours are now available via the MHNSW website.
