Use this form if you wish to apply for admission to the Architectural Practice Examination and lodge it with your payment and documents.

Use this form if you wish to apply to re-sit Part 2 - NEP. You should apply within 12 months of your unsuccessful NEP.
Use this form if you wish to apply APE Part 3 – Examination by Interview and lodge it with your payment. If you are re-sitting Part 3 you must re-submit all the APE documents.

FORM 01 - INITIAL REGISTRATION AS AN ARCHITECT
Use this form if you have completed the AACA Architectural Practice Examination (APE), Locally Experienced Practitioners Program (LEP), the Overseas Architect Assessment (OAA) or have successfully completed the SAP (Supplementary Assessment Process for APEC Architects), but have never been registered anywhere in Australia or in New Zealand.
FORM 02 - APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION UNDER MRA
Use this form if you are currently registered as an architect in another State or Territory in Australia or New Zealand or from approved jurisdictions in the United States of America and wish to apply for registration in NSW under the Mutual Recognition Act (MUTREC), the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Act (TTMRA) or the US/Australia/New Zealand Mutual Recognition Arrangements.

FORM 02A - MUTUAL RECOGNITON CONFIRMATION REQUEST
Take this form to the state registration board where you are currently registered for completion and send it back to the NSW Board with the Form 02 and payment.
Form 02B - TTMRA Confirmation Request
Take this form to the New Zealand Architect Registration Board for completion and send it back to the NSW Board with the Form 02 and payment.
FORM 03 - TEMPORARY REGISTRATION AS AN ARCHITECT IN NSW
If you are an overseas registered architect wishing to practise in the State of New South Wales, you can apply for registration in the temporary registration category for a limited period.

FORM 04 - NOMINATION OF RESPONSIBLE ARCHITECTS
Architect corporations and firms must nominate an architect, registered in NSW, to be its responsible architect in the provision of architectural services in NSW.

Complete this form if your name has recently been removed from the Register for non-payment of annual renewal; or have not been on the Register for a period of time; or wish to transfer from Non-Practising to Practising status.

In order to notify any changes to details for architect corporations and firms such new nominated architects or cancellation of nominated architects etc. complete this form and submit it with the applicable fee of $35. A new certificate will be printed to show these changes

The Board has developed a model to support peer education for architects - Architects' Learning Groups. The aim of establishing Architects' Learning Groups is to provide opportunities for architects to undertake formal activities within their own peer network.
